The previously selected fees and costs (if entered correctly) will cover the initial amounts due to initiate representation. As previously noted, additional attorney's fees may be required to prosecute this matter if the matter becomes contested. Finally, if the defendant defaults on a payment plan after 30 days after a final court order, then an additional fee of $50 is required to reinstate the case and bring it before the court.
Nonetheless, additional costs to the Clerk of Court, Sheriff's office, or other entities may be required to continue the case.
You will be expected to promptly pay your own costs in this matter, or promptly reimburse your attorney for any costs taken on in the matter. Should any costs become necessary we would bring those to your attention at that time, and consult with you prior to taking on any costs. Such costs may include, but are not limited to: alias summons ($6/defendant), filing fees ($268/matter), certification fees ($9/document), special process server ($75), and sheriff’s service ($60/defendant), electronic filing fees ($0.25 per filing), and sheriff’s eviction ($60.50).
If additional fees and costs are not promptly paid, it may cause delays in your case. Additionally, if the matter becomes contested and the additional attorney's fees are not paid within 48 hours of our sending an invoice or otherwise bringing them to your attention, then will will promptly withdraw from your case.
